Epilepsy Fellowship

Epilepsy Fellowship Position starting July 1, 2022

The Weill Cornell Medicine-New York Presbyterian Hospital has an open Epilepsy Fellowship
position starting July 1, 2022. This one-year fellowship is accredited by the Accreditation Council
of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Upon completion, the trainee is eligible to apply for
Certification in the Subspecialty of Epilepsy by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
(ABPN-Epilepsy).

BC/BE neurologists or individuals who are in the PGY4 of their adult neurology residency training
are eligible to apply.

The Weill Cornell Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is a NAEC level IV Epilepsy Center located in
the Weill Cornell campus of New York Presbyterian Hospital. The trainees are supervised and
mentored by 6 adult epileptologist and 4 pediatrics epileptologist in a comprehensive training
program focusing on diagnosis and management of epilepsy, including EEG, ambulatory EEG,
video EEGs (including stereo-EEG and gird/strip implantations), bedside and intraoperative
cortical mapping, epilepsy surgery, pharmacologic management, and neuromodulation (VNS, RNS
and DBS) as well as exposure to ketogenic diet in epilepsy clinic. We have twice weekly didactic
lectures that covers both clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy topics as well as weekly combined
pediatrics and adult surgical epilepsy conference. The fellowship includes dedicated time that
could be allocated to research projects and/or concentrating in areas of clinical interest.
