Psychiatrist, Adult

The Miami Neuroscience Institute, part of the Baptist Health South Florida health system, is seeking a board eligible/certified psychiatrist to join an expanding program in clinical neurosciences.  The position would involve inpatient consultations, outpatient follow-up or new patient consultations, participation in transcranial magnetic stimulation for depression and obsessive-compulsive disorders, participation in a low frequency ultrasound clinical trial for Alzheimer's patients, as well as participation in other clinical programs with our physiatry, pain, neurology and neuro rehab services. 

Candidates for this position are Physicians who are BE/BC in Psychiatry, have an Unrestricted Florida Medical License and have completed training at a US based program. This physician will join an already established high volume neurosciences center practice at Miami Neuroscience Institute at Baptist Health South Florida.   Responsibilities would include covering inpatient consultation services at Baptist Hospital, as well as developing an elective outpatient practice. In addition, the candidate will have a Faculty appointment in Neurosurgery at Florida International University. The Academic Appointment include training of Medical Students from FIU and participation in training courses and conferences. Participation and development of independent clinical or basic science research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, present at national and international meetings, is an essential component of the Academic Activity of the Miami Neuroscience Institute.
