The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of linguistics and digitized speech analysis in frontotemporal dementia and associated neurodegenerative disorders. Additional experience in biostatistics for biomarker analysis and patient classification. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading a translational research program in digitized speech analysis in frontotemporal dementia and associated neurodegenerative disorders and supervise scientific lab meetings on linguistic analysis. Main responsibilities including supervising and conducting novel research, publishing peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts in high impact journals, presenting data at scientific meetings and maintaining a funding portfolio of NIH and other funding sources to perform translational research.
