Academic Neurologist/Neuro-Intensivist sought to join the Department of
Neurological Sciences Faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC)
Program to further advance the Neuro Intensivist role in Neurocritical Care. The ideal
candidate should be board certified/board eligible in Neurology, completed a
Neurocritical Care fellowship and be board certified/board eligible in Neurocritical
Care. This faculty member would participate in a multi-disciplinary team that
oversees a 20 bed unit treating a high volume of neurological patients with a strong
emphasis on cerebrovascular disease. The candidate will assist with building a
neurocritical care consult service; candidate will see patients with neurologic issues on acute care units as needed and may also see outpatient follow up to post critical care hospitalization. The candidate should have a track record of leadership, research, teaching and clinical service. Candidate will participate in teaching opportunities with rotating Neurology Residents/medical students and in research trials in a supportive academic, hospital, and community environment.
