Candidates will have completed a residency in Neurology and fellowship in their respective area of either stroke or neurocritical care. Candidates should be BE/BC and from a fellowship program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS). Faculty rank at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine is commensurate with experience.

Through additional hiring of NCC providers, HUMC is forming a 24/7 neurocritical care team and a closed neurocritical care service. The service will support all complex neurosurgical, stroke, epilepsy, and other neuroscience conditions. A new dedicated NCC unit will be part of HUMC’s new hospital tower, expected to open by 2023.

The vascular neurology position will be recruited by the Division of Cerebrovascular Diseases led by Martin Gizzi, MD, PhD and Florian P. Thomas, MD, PhD. The Neurocritical Care position will be recruited by the Director of Neurocritical Care Kaitlin Reilly, MD, PhD and Florian P. Thomas, MD, PhD. The Department is led by Florian P.
