Epilepsy Faculty Position

Jesse Brown VA and UI Health hospitals serve a large and diverse population, with strong commitment from both to support the highest level of care and provide state-of-the-art epilepsy care and surgery for the most complex patients. We are seeking an outstanding physician or physician scientist to join our rapidly expanding epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, and neurology programs.

Strong opportunities for collaborative research exist, including NIH and other supported research programs. The faculty member will have access to our UI NeuroRepository that generates human brain tissues linked to multimodal clinical and research data for cutting edge research programs.

The successful applicant should have an established track record as a clinician investigator or show exceptional promise for a career in academic neurology. Applicants will be expected to establish and maintain vigorous clinical programs and/or externally funded research programs and participate in teaching. The JBVA and UIC Neurology Departments are committed to providing the successful applicant with adequate resources, including start-up funds, to insure strong career development.

Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Clinical Neurophysiology and/or Epilepsy id required. Rank and tenure are commensurate with experience. The position will be eligible to participate in the VA’s Educational Debt Reduction Program.
