The Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona, in conjunction with Banner University Medical Group, is recruiting a fellowship-trained, board certified/eligible Vascular Neurologist to join our multidisciplinary stroke team. This is a unique opportunity within a rapidly growing academic neuroscience program at Banner University Medical Center Tucson (BUMCT) and the University of Arizona. BUMCT is a 625-bed teaching hospital located at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center and is the only Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Southern Arizona. BUMCT has been nationally recognized for providing exceptional patient care, education of the next generation of healthcare providers, and groundbreaking research.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
The Vascular Neurologist will attend on the inpatient dedicated stroke service and will staff outpatient stroke clinics. The position will include teaching and academic activities as well as opportunities to participate in clinical research. Protected research time may also be available depending on the candidate’s background, training, and interests. The successful candidate will have a full appointment within the Department of Neurology.
