Assistant Professor of Neurological Sciences
The Department of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a motivated research scientist with a background in biostatistics for a tenure-track faculty position. The candidate will work as part of a program that spans the entire drug target validation and drug discovery pipeline for Alzheimer’s Disease. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for analyzing large-scale patient omics data (including genomics and transcriptomics among others), supporting the design of experiments, and preparing high-dimensional data storage and pipeline efforts. In addition, candidate will be involved in writing manuscripts describing their research and presenting their findings in national and international meetings. Candidate will be expected to lead an independent but collaborative line of research, and will obtain external funding to support his/her research by writing grant proposals to the National Institutes of Health and a variety of foundations.
