Company

Company Overview

LifePoint Health is a company that provides healthcare services in growing regions, rural communities and small towns. It was established in 1999 and is headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee currently operating over 60 hospitals nationwide.

Company History

LifePoint Health was founded in 1999 with 23 community hospitals in nine states. A spin-off from Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), the company - then known as LifePoint Hospitals - was created on founding CEO Scott Mercy's belief that everyone deserves quality healthcare close to home and that strong hospitals create strong communities. This spirit has driven LifePoint for two decades and serves as the foundation for how we care for our communities today.

LifePoint's facilities and practices are divided into four operating divisions: Eastern, Central, Mountain and Western. Each of these divisions has a leadership team that mirrors a hospital's leadership team, including a president and dedicated physician and provider leadership resources.
