Neurologist Assistant/Associate Professor

The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV’s Department of Neurology is seeking dedicated and driven applicants for full-time academic positions. Our aim is to establish new standards of medical care for our community and to provide unparalleled clinical and research services. The successful candidate will have the desire to be part of our rapidly growing department. 

Clinical activities will involve attending duties in neurology clinics and on inpatient services at the University Medical Center, a community level 1 trauma hospital in Las Vegas. Teaching responsibilities include teaching medical student courses and clerkship, mentoring graduate students and trainees, training residents, fellows and medical students and teaching continuing education programs for physicians and the public. Candidates will be able to develop a research program that could also be integrated into the clinical activities.

Faculty positions for clinicians and clinician scientists are available in: 

• General Neurology
• Epilepsy
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Neuromuscular Disorders

Candidates for the position must possess an MD or DO degree and be board certified/eligible in Neurology. A valid Nevada medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Nevada is required. Prior faculty and teaching experience is preferred but not required. Subspecialty interests and participation in clinical trials and outcomes research are welcome but also not required.

These positions have competitive benefit and compensation plans commensurate with train and experience level. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
