Neurology Opportunity with a focus on Neuromuscular

The Department of Neurology at Albany Medical College seeks BC/BE neurologists to expand its Neuromuscular Division. Albany Medical Center, the only academic medical center in northeastern New York, is a private, non-profit organization serving over 3 million people. We are expanding to meet regional care needs. The Department of Neurology has established programs in epilepsy, dementia, movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, pediatric neurology, pain management and stroke/neurocritical care. Successful applicants will have a commitment to patient care and supervision of medical students and residents, and a desire to work in a collaborative environment with general and subspecialty neurology colleagues. An academic appointment at an Assistant or Associate Professor’s rank depending on their qualifications and years of experience will be also offered to them.

Desired qualifications include completion of a certified Clinical Neurophysiology or Neuromuscular Fellowship and the ability to perform and interpret EMG/NCS.  Duties will include teaching of residents and clinical neurophysiology fellows in EMG/NCS and neuromuscular medicine. Research opportunities are plentiful.
