The University of Michigan/Michigan Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced neuro-oncologist and neurologist to join and lead our thriving Neuro-Oncology Division within the Department of Neurology. The position is at the level of Associate Professor or Professor, likely in the clinical track, depending on the applicant’s qualifications.

The successful applicant will lead a well-established 3-physician team that practices within UM’s Rogel Cancer Center. Our team collaborates with outstanding experts in brain tumor surgery, radiation oncology, neuropathology, neuroradiology, pediatric neuro-oncology and translational brain tumor research. The clinical work is supported by a dedicated physician assistant and nurses, and clinical trials are supported by Cancer Center leadership and by our well-established Clinical Trials Support Unit.

Requirements:

-        Commitment to excellence in patient care, research, and education

-        Leadership skills

-        Board-certified or board eligible in neuro-oncology (UCNS)

-        Board-certified or board eligible in neurology (ACGME)

Responsibilities:

-        Provide outstanding outpatient care for patients with primary brain tumors and metastatic disease

-        Inpatient neuro-oncology consultations

-        Potential co-leadership of Neuro-Oncology Clinical Research Team

-        Education of residents and fellows

-        Research program in neuro-oncology
