Movement Disorders Medical Director, AdventHealth - Orlando, Florida
AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic and energetic Movement Disorders Medical Director to help continue to grow our expanding program in Central Florida. We are growing into one comprehensive team that will focus this outpatient program around our eighteen hospitals system in our Central Florida Division totaling over 4000 beds. The new medical director would provide subspecialty care and work with our multidisciplinary team including functional neurosurgery, neuro radiology, neuro pathology and neuropsychology. Position will be structured with majority of clinical time with some portion of administrative time as well. The new physician would join with our existing team of neurology subspecialty leaders in Neuromuscular, Headache, Neuroimmunology, and Behavioral Neurology.
AdventHealth Orlando is continuing to grow its Neuroscience Institute with a new Brain Health flagship building opening in 2022. Our Neuro Critical Care Fellowship was accredited by the UCNS in early 2019. The ideal candidate would also be able to lead our efforts in neurology research, care analytics, quality and outcomes. Our Neuroscience Institute at AdventHealth Orlando consists of 120 dedicated neurology beds which includes 40 neuro-intensive care units, 8 dedicated neurosurgical OR suites with an intraoperative 3T MRI and 64 slice CT, FDG-PET, SPECT, and MEG lab. AdventHealth Orlando has been awarded the highest designation, a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC).
AdventHealth also has an advanced comprehensive stroke center providing endovascular procedures 24/7. Our neurosurgery program performed more craniotomy and spine surgery than any other hospitals in Florida. Our minimally invasive brain surgery program is one of the best in the state and draws patients nationally and internationally. We also have a fully developed DBS program.
