The UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program and Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG) are recruiting for a General or subspeciality Neurologist, with interest in outpatient Neurology, at the Assistant, Associate or Professor Rank. A subspecialty trained neurologist will be expected to provide some ambulatory neurology services. The position includes participation in programmatic development of a new Neuroscience initiative on campus along with teaching both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry Residents and medical students. In addition, the successful candidate will collaborate with the UCSF Fresno Alzheimer’s and Memory Center and the Hillblom Center for Aging. Applicants must be Board eligible or Board Certified in Neurology. Academic appointment at UCSF and compensation are commensurate with applicant’s credentials.

Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG) is an organization of faculty physicians and staff who have one stated purpose....to "Make Medical Education Happen." CCFMG is a medical group affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco Fresno Medical Education Program. Formed in 1979, CCFMG currently has over 200 physicians who are both full time and part time, as well as an administrative staff that is responsible for billing, contracting, compliance, information services, human resources, and practice management for the group.

CCFMG physicians are involved in teaching, research, and patient care on the campuses of Fresno Community Regional Medical Center, Children's Hospital Central California and the Veteran's Administration Central California Health Care System. In addition, they conduct clinics and supervise educational programs. CCFMG physicians provide instruction for residents and medical students in Emergency Medicine, Family and Community Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/Gyn, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Surgery. Among the contributions of CCFMG, affiliated with the UCSF Fresno teaching program to the community are:

? CCFMG physicians and residents operate the only Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center for the population of one million people in the Central Valley.

? A significant number of the residents who train in the UCSF Fresno program are attracted to remain and practice in the San Joaquin Valley.

? CCFMG physicians provide medical care to a wide population of patients who do not have another source of healthcare.
