A large, academically affiliated program in Kansas City is excited to add stroke/neurohospitalist and cognitive/behavioral physicians to their growing team. An opportunity exists for a physician to come in lead their program as well as opportunities for junior faculty. Physicians will practice in either a comprehensive stroke center or primary stroke center.
Stroke/Neurohospitalist Highlights:
- Monday – Friday schedule
- Opportunity to be 100% inpatient or work an inpatient/outpatient split seeing rehab patients
- APP support
- Leadership opportunity
- Faculty appointment available
- 6 weeks of PTO and 2 weeks of CME
Cognitive/Behavioral Highlights:
- 100% outpatient
- Within a year, the physician will have 100% cognitive volume (if desired)
- Opportunity for a leader and junior faculty
- Faculty appointment available
- Research interests encouraged
- Plans to build cognitive fellowship
- Non-burdensome call that is well compensated
- Dedicated neuropsychiatrist for the department
Outpatient Subspecialty Highlights:
- Subspecialty interests in epilepsy, MS, headache, neuromuscular and neurophysiology can be accommodated. Approximately 50% subspecialty volume to start
- Predominantly outpatient position (approx 80%) - inpatient may be a few general neurology consults a day working in conjunction for with APP
- Opportunity for epileptologist to see patients in 12 bed EMU and take part in epilepsy surgery cases
- Faculty appointment available
- Research is encouraged
- Pay is 300K
- H1B and J1 (will work in KS location) are welcome
