Job Details
A Research Fellow/ Visiting Scholar position is available for a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to join the Neuro-Oncology Service. Neuro-Oncology is a growing subspecialty that is in constant evolution as novel diagnostic strategies, therapeutics, and prognostic factors are being discovered. Basic science and clinical trials play a pivotal role in this subspecialty to improve outcomes for neuro-oncological disorders. There continues to be a great need for physicians who have an interest in research. The Visiting Scholar Position would offer a one-year training periods for candidates who have completed an adult or pediatric neurology residency. We will also consider applicants who have completed training in medical oncology, pediatric oncology, neurosurgery, or radiation oncology on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is to train future leaders in the field of academic neuro-oncology. The post-doctoral Research Fellow will conduct research in primary brain tumors.
The position is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training.
The following is required: proof of English proficiency, current curriculum vitae with bibliography, and must have a Medical Degree. Also required is a proof of doctoral degree (copy of diploma or final transcript with English translation, if applicable) or a letter from your university’s Registrar office indicating you have fulfilled all doctoral program requirements and are eligible to graduate. Please also be prepared that you may be asked to provide three letters of recommendation.
