Medical School, Department of Neurology

The Division of Stroke and Neurocritical Care in the Department of Neurology at Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Medical School, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey has an opening for a full time stroke faculty to start ASAP. Vascular neurology board eligible or certified neurologists who has strong interests in clinical research and teaching are encouraged to apply as we expand our combined division of stroke and neurocritical care. We are the academic department providing medical education for the medical students, neurology residents and fellows for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, a joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and the primary teaching hospital for Rutgers RWJ Medical School. The Department of Neurology at Rutgers-RWJ Medical School is an academic department with more than 30 full time faculty and 5 nationally recognized centers of excellence. The division of stroke and neurocritical care is expanding rapidly. Our state-of-the-art neuroscience and neurotrauma intensive care unit, opened in Spring of 2019. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is a 600- bed hospital with campuses in New Brunswick and Somerville. RWJ University Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center and the first Pediatric Trauma Center in the state. An ACGME accredited stroke fellowship runs jointly with

Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, and the division of stroke and neurocritical care is actively involved in multiple clinical trials with dedicated staff to support research activities.

To qualify, candidates must be graduates of an ACGME-accredited neurology; residency and vascular neurology fellowship; and be board certified.
