Stroke Specialist
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center seeks a Stroke specialist with fellowship training for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor position at UPMC Altoona, located 2 hours east of Pittsburgh. Responsibilities include inpatient stroke service, outpatient clinic and call coverage split with existing faculty, with opportunities to participate in clinical stroke trials. The UPMC Altoona stroke program offers full neuroendovascular therapies including emergent stroke thrombectomy, extracranial revascularization and intracranial aneurysm treatments, grounded within a multidisciplinary environment that includes neurosurgical services, a team of general neurologists and a dedicated neurologic intensive care unit. Candidates should have medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, Board Certified or board eligible in Neurology and Stroke fellowship training or foreign equivalent and also have clinical interest and expertise in stroke medicine.
