BE/BC Stroke Neurologist, with fellowship training in vascular neurology

Prisma Health Medical Group, Department of Neurology, is currently recruiting a passionate BE/BC Stroke Neurologist, with fellowship training in vascular neurology, to join our highly skilled faculty of 12 (including three Stroke Neurologists). This position will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary collaborative stroke team which also involves neurology residents and fellows and contributions to clinical research that will have a direct impact on the quality and delivery of patient care.
On the campus of Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, the multi-department, JCAHO-certified comprehensive stroke center is anchored by board-certified stroke neurologists, neurointerventional radiologists, vascular neurosurgeons, neurointensivists, vascular neurology fellows and stroke research coordinators. The stroke center holds current Gold Plus status for American Heart Association’s Get With the Guidelines and Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus. The program is comprised of a 27-bed stroke unit with multidisciplinary daily rounds fashioned after the Accountable Care Unit model, a 15-bed TIA observation unit, and a 16-bed Neuroscience ICU managed by three board-certified Neurointensivists and multiple advance practice providers. The hospital uses the InTouch Telestroke System and Air Ambulance geared to provide access to patients from across the high-incidence stroke state.
This is a full-time position providing care to patients in both the inpatient and an outpatient clinic setting.
