A highly-regarded hospital system in Wisconsin is expanding its neurology service line at its downtown Milwaukee locations with the addition of several neurologists. Sub-specialty interests, especially Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Cognitive Neurology, and Movement Disorders, are welcome and well-supported, in the context of general neurology. There is an opportunity to build a thriving sub-specialty practice in a short time. The hospital is also excited to bring in an epilepsy director. For physicians with inpatient interests, there are opportunities for neurohospitalist and vascular neurologists.
Hospital Highlights:
- Located in Milwaukee
- Tertiary care center
- Provides several neurological services including pain management, spinal fusions and other spinal procedures, and certified stroke care
- Only Chiari malformation Center in the Midwest
Outpatient Position Highlights:
- Outpatient only
- Call is 1:4 (consultative only)
- One MA per physician
- On average, will see 15-20 patients per day
- Very collegial group with strong leadership
- Ideal downtown Milwaukee location on the same campus as the Hospital
- On-site: Neurodiagnostic lab: EEG, EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies and an established Neuropsychological program
Inpatient Position Highlights:
- M-F or 7on/7off schedule
- Minimal to no call
- This is a new position – willing to consider a leadership candidate to help build the department
Hospital Epilepsy Director Position:
- Position organization for Level 4 designation
- Establish a comprehensive program to include intraoperative monitoring, vagus nerve stimulation, specialized neuroimaging, and virtual services
- Leveraging existing relationship with local children’s hospital to create a satellite pediatric monitoring unit
- Overall time administrative commitment anticipated being 20-25 hours per week
- This role is excluded from the general neurology call schedule
