The Department of Neurological Sciences at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine (LCOM) at the University of Vermont (UVM) and the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) are seeking to recruit a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship-trained neurologist specializing in multiple sclerosis to join the UVM Multiple Sclerosis Center at UVMMC.

This full-time position is associated with a faculty appointment in the Department of Neurological Sciences at the rank of either Assistant Professor, Associate, or Professor, as appropriate, based on previous experience and academic rank.

The MS Center at UVMMC has an established legacy of caring for patients with MS, clinical and translational research, as well as fellowship training. Neurology residents, multiple sclerosis fellows, and medical students have opportunities to receive a portion of their clinical training in this setting. Our goal is to expand expertise in clinical care, clinical research, education, and translational neuroscience investigations that the center currently provides.

The UVMMC is located in Burlington and serves as Vermont’s only academic medical center. Burlington is a small but vibrant community on the shores of Lake Champlain between the Adirondack and Green Mountains. The area offers year-round recreational opportunities, safe communities, and excellent schools, while Burlington itself is frequently cited as among the most livable cities in the United States.

UVM is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and/or service. Applicants are requested to include in their cover letter information about how they will further this goal. UVM is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other category legally protected by federal or state law. The University encourages applications from all individuals who will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. The application receipt and review process will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
