Job Details
An academically-affiliated medical center in western Pennsylvania is seeking an interventional neurologist to join their current team to grow their interventional neuroradiology program. A Medical Directorship position would also be available for an interested and experienced candidate. This is a rapidly growing system in the region, with consistent case volume and no competition.

- Stroke and TIA Bridge Clinic, which is an outpatient follow-up clinic dedicated to stroke and TIA patients and their families
- State of the art technology including GE Biplane updated in 2015; Trevo, Solitaire, and Penumbra systems; GDC; Orbit; MicroVention; PVA; ONYX
Opportunity Highlights:
- 1:2 interventional shared call - most cases are held overnight until next morning as there is the ability to read images from home; only need to come into the hospital for most urgent cases
- Dedicated time in angio-suite with priority for emergency cases
- Strong support from radiologists and neurosurgeons to expand interventional neurology practice
- Case variety – selective and incidental aneurysms; subarachnoid hemorrhages; diagnostics
- The great need in the community; cases are being sent out when current interventional neurologist is not available
