Chief of Neurology

The Bay Pines, FL Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking an experienced neurologist to serve as the Chief of the Neurology Section.  The ideal candidate will have experience and/or interest in academic neurology, including education and research, as well as a dedication to patient and veteran care, though both academic and private practice candidates will be considered.  The chief is responsible for management and direct supervision of providers in neurology section, so prior supervisory experience is high desired.   You will serve on committees, participate in quality assurance programs and assist our facility in meeting established performance measures in the area of neurology.  

The Bay Pines VA is located on the beautiful west coast of Florida, eight miles northwest of the international resort community of St. Petersburg.  Bay Pines VA has a strong affiliation with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, which provides rotating medical students.  The new Section Chief will have opportunity to considerably expand the clinical and academic missions of the neurology section.  Opportunities for an academic appointment at USF and part time work at the USF MCOM Department of Neurology are available.  

Sign on bonus up to $20K and assistance with payment of med school loans up to $200K.
