Company History

In 2004, a small group of healthcare professionals and private investors joined together to solve a growing problem in healthcare. Realizing that the specialty physician shortage was a national crisis, they began to assemble a solution that would leverage technology to distribute the skills of highly qualified specialty physicians. These innovators built a unique telemedicine start-up that would fundamentally change the delivery of emergency medicine and become the standard bearer for clinical quality within the telemedicine industry.

Today, SOC Telemed is the nation's leading provider of acute clinical telemedicine services. We offer hospitals immediate, around-the-clock access to a team of highly trained specialty physicians via a secure and proven telemedicine platform. Currently, SOC Telemed provides emergency consultations in multiple specialties for more than 350 hospitals in numerous health systems nationwide.
