Company Overview
We are a 277-bed, Level II trauma center. Our physician-led integrated health system includes more than 200 physicians representing 44 specialties. Altru Health System provides care from eight locations in Grand Forks, twelve regional clinics, serving more than 225,000 residents of northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. Altru provides training to 17 resident physicians through its Grand Forks Family Medicine Residency and the University of North Dakota's Surgery Residency.

As the first member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, we are helping to bring Mayo Clinic's knowledge and expertise to the Red River Valley so you're assured of the finest care anywhere.
Together, we share a common philosophy, commitment and mission to improve the delivery of health care you receive. While some patients may need to travel to a specialty care facility, the primary goal is to have the benefits of Mayo Clinic expertise without necessarily having to travel to a Mayo Clinic facility.
Our physicians have had close working relationships with Mayo Clinic?s physicians decades. This collaboration takes the relationship to a higher level; as a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, our providers have access to electronic tools including AskMayoExpert and eConsults.
Our Relationship with UND
Altru's affiliation with the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences allows our physicians exposure to teaching medical students. In addition, Altru provides training to resident physicians through its Grand Forks Family Medicine Residency and the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences Surgical Residency program.
